The Hara Shotokan Karate Academy was established in 2000 by sensei Ken Button 6th Dan, who was, at the time part of the World Shotokan Karate Academy, led by chief instructor sensei Taiji Kase 9th Dan.
"The idea of starting the academy was not my own, but one mentioned to me by the students in my club at the time.
The concept behind it is simple, just train and be content with what you attain."
The Hara Shotokan Karate Academy is still a relatively small group of students, but we pride ourselves on being a 'family', rather than an organisation; "everybody knows everybody", seems to be a general remark passed on to us by visiting instructors and students alike.
Please feel free to peruse the site and if you require any further information, simply contact any of the instructors.
Please enjoy.
